the human kind, and,
may be for this, the most fascinating continent. The
land of a people always oppressed, with so many human values to share, but
placed at the borders of the world history and economy. Turned
into a huge dump, a
mine to compete for, a
great market, in which western products may be placed. |
The
logo
The
association was born during the papacy of John Paul II and follows the Rule that
he approved for the brothers and sisters of the Third Order Regular of St.
Francis.
Moreover
they took a lot from his profound Christocentric and Marian spirituality, which
is expressed in his shield through an M under the cross.
For
these reasons, the members wear everywhere the franciscan habit with a logo on
the heart which uses these same symbols on the background of the Africa
represented in black color.
On
the reality, very often dramatic, of this continent, the cross of Christ stands
out and it must stand out more and more, red as the blood and as the fire of the
divine Love, that must fire the whole world.
Under
the cross a white M symbolizes the clean heart of Mary, which made her able to
fully contemplate and share the plan of God, centered in the obedient sacrifice
of the Son for the salvation of the humanity.
The
logo is an invitation and an aspiration to be her true children, who have a
clean and motherly love, in front of every cross on which Christ keeps suffering
through those whom he called his "little brothers", stating that in
the last day we will be judged on all we will have or won't have done to him in
each one out of them.
